In the winter, Sun Valley leads a double-life. By day, it is a winter sports paradise, known for its superb skiing and snowboarding. When the sun goes down, however, you'll find that Sun Valley is also home to vibrant nightlife- including incredible après-ski. Here are a few restaurants and bars where you can enjoy amazing après-ski in Sun Valley during the 2022-23 ski season!
Apple’s Bar & Grill: This no-frills ski bar is located right at the Warm Springs base of Bald Mountain. Lunch is affordable, and dinner is ideal for moments when you want to treat yourself. Grab a pitcher of beer plus a burger and enjoy!
Warm Springs Lodge and River Run Lodge: At Warm Springs Lodge, you can sit at a long granite-top bar at a large mountain-facing window and watch skiers pass as you enjoy drinks and "upscale versions of mountain cafeteria food." At River Run Lodge, you'll find slightly more unique dishes plus cozy firepits.
Dunchin Lounge: For upscale après, head to Dunchin Lounge! They have fabulous cocktails as well as a massive wine list. You'll find a diverse mix of patrons here. The conversations that take place around the bar are always fascinating.
Lefty’s Bar & Grill: This casual pub is a fun place to hang out after a day of skiing! They have classic bar food at affordable prices- including their famous spiced up monkey fries! Tall boys are only $5.
Grumpy’s: Some have labeled Grumpy's as the greatest après dive bar in the country. They're laidback and casual, with cheap food and funky decor. They're known for their 32 ounce goblets of beer, which they call schooners. You'll feel right at home at Grumpy's.
Warfield Distillery and Brewery: This trendy après bar has one of the best roof decks in Sun Valley. You can stargaze and admire picturesque views of Baldy as you sip amazing brews. The innovative food and handcrafted drinks prioritize local Idahoan ingredients.
