The start of ski season is almost here. Snowmaking has been running full throttle in preparation for opening day. The resorts are ready to receive skiers! Mother Nature has chipped in to make the slopes even sweeter. The end of October brought fantastic snowfall to Sun Valley- and the first week of November has added to the total!  ![greg-rakozy-dqE4raxMqlo-unsplash](https://www.sunvalley.me/hs-fs/hubfs/greg-rakozy-dqE4raxMqlo-unsplash.jpg?width=4000&height=6000&name=greg-rakozy-dqE4raxMqlo-unsplash.jpg) At the end of October, Colorado saw massive amounts of snow in the mountains. Snow was on the ground across almost the entire state. Sun Valley got a nice little boost!  Throughout the first week of November, the snow has continued to build. As of this moment, a whopping 12 inches has fallen- and it is still coming down! Snowfall is exceeding predictions, leaving the town coated in a blanket of thick, white powder.  But that's not all! In the next few days, an additional 12 inches is expected to fall. The start of ski season is looking fantastic! Many resorts that typically open in the middle of the month were forced to postpone opening. Sun Valley is currently set to open November 28th, 2022.  Are you excited for the start of ski season? We sure are! Start planning your trip today so you can make the most of the wonderful winter weather on Sun Valley's stunning slopes!  ### POPULAR POSTS ### Subscribe to Email Updates ### Recent Posts ### Posts by Topic - [Activities (33)](https://www.sunvalley.me/tag/activities) - [Winter (25)](https://www.sunvalley.me/tag/winter) - [Ski (24)](https://www.sunvalley.me/tag/ski) - [Events (21)](https://www.sunvalley.me/tag/events) - [Outdoor (19)](https://www.sunvalley.me/tag/outdoor) ![footer-skiier.jpg](https://www.sunvalley.me/hs-fs/hubfs/footer-skiier.jpg?width=4278&name=footer-skiier.jpg "footer-skiier.jpg") Contact Us [800-393-4943](tel:800-393-4943)   SIGN UP FOR UPDATES Copyright © 2022 Resortia LLC [Privacy Policy](https://www.steamboat.net/privacy)
